Experimentation Culture Awards!

Globally awarding your growth in experimentation culture

Sharing inspirational stories by the nominees & winners

The Experimentation Culture Awards started in 2020 as an event to promote a culture of experimentation globally. Our goal is to help people trying to grow an evidence-based decision-making culture by pushing them in the right direction.

We do this by sharing inspirational stories of experimentation maturity growth and nominating individuals, teams, and organizations who deserve recognition for their work.

In an experimentation culture, you are free to try and fail or succeed, while the direction and the result of work are based on trustworthy gathered evidence. Grow fast, grow forward.

So join the conversation!

The 2024 live broadcast is on May 23rd, 2024

TLC: Announcing Learning Groups

This TLC conversation will give you the full inside track on the new TLC Learning Groups: paid courses taken with a cohort of your peers from a live instructor!

In this meeting we will discuss how the learning groups will work, what to expect from the first four courses that will be rolling out over the next few months, and (most importantly), how to sign up for early access.

The first TLC Learning Group will kick off the week of June 3rd:

Prep Google Analytics Data for Reporting in BigQuery
with Ken Williams and Brian Martin

Description: This course will walk you through the steps to link Google Analytics with BigQuery and use Dataform to transform the raw data into a format that is ready for visualization and advanced analysis. At the end of this course you will have two things:

  1. A working data model in BigQuery that can be used for reporting, and that refreshes regularly

  2. A series of Looker Studio dashboards that help you quickly start working with the data

You don’t have to be a data engineer or even write SQL. If you understand Google Analytics we will show you the rest.

Friday, May 10: We’re inviting Ken and Brian to share a brief overview of the topic to help folks decide if they’d be interested in attending.

*Zoom details will be shared on the TLC Slack community on the day of the event!

TLC: Hypotheses are Overrated – What You’re Missing in Your Process with Shiva Manjunath

Get ready for a long-overdue conversation with industry-adored funny man, Shiva Manjunath, host of the truly excellent experimentation podcast From A to B, who promises to fill the hour with at least a few memes, but also help us challenge ourselves (and our programs) to think (and work) differently.

So prepare yourself for a lot of laughter and learning and an all-around great time (as always) with Shiva! (and it's Friday y'all... so I look forward to learning who Shiva leaves out of his Friday well wishes... perhaps on our TLC call?)

Friday wishes (here, here, here)

Description

Experimentation Process and Governance are one of the most important things to scale your experimentation program. However – you probably haven’t realized one of the biggest problems in your process – problem statements. These are the mechanisms that help you unlock your experimentation program by connecting research to the ‘test and learn’ process.
